A Dream is Forgotten?

When I was a little girl I knew my ultimate dream was to be famous! A famous singer, dancer and actress and then I would also own a business so I could do whatever I wanted when I wanted. I really just wanted to take over the world, like Madonna said! Actually I'm kind of still holding on to all parts of that dream (sort of...we'll save that for another discussion.)
As I've grown and I've looked back on my past it has been clear that I still believe in my dreams and have tried to pursue them. I have gotten off the beaten path a little bit over time. For example I went to college, I worked a lot of jobs for other people, and for a bit here and there I didn't sing, dance or act. But I always found myself coming back to it.
Now as I talk with family, friends, coworkers and new clients it is becoming clear that a lot of people may have had dreams when they were younger, but now they have since forgotten about them and stopped chasing them. I've also realized over time that these are people that are unhappy in life. They are happy because they have good jobs, a family, the car, the home, their health etc....but deep down I can tell something is still missing. They are not living a fulfilling life. If they say they are it is because they've brainwashed themselves into believing it.

So I have brought up this conversation with a few of them and they have abandoned those ideas of chasing their dreams. And that breaks my heart! I surely don't want my big heads growing up to think that they have to stop dream chasing because life gets in the way. I want them to always be dream chasing and to never stop, even when they turn 99! Why? Because those dreams and passions are what fuels us and it is truly what is inside of us and what we are all about. I would be miserable if I stopped chasing my dreams and living out my passions. Through all of my life struggles I probably wouldn't have made it out alive, literally, if I wasn't holding on to those dreams....if I didn't believe that I could make them come true.
In talking with these people I then asked what their dreams were or what they were passionate about. If you could see the look on their faces. It was like a Goofy moment...you know the tall Disney dog character...he trips himself up a lot, somewhat clumsy but overall just goofy. It was almost like they had no idea...a "duh" moment. How could they not know what dreams and passions they had?! Then I thought back to when I was first building my businesses and also more recently as I'm creating new things for the world....I had to go back and reach deep down within myself to figure out what my dreams and passions were. Luckily for me, they haven't changed a lot, I've only added to them, which I believe is fine too.
It was a process that I enjoyed doing because I really had a chance to reflect on my life in general. I was able to come up with a list of things and I'm sure I will always be adding to that list. I wanted to do something for the people that I had this conversation with and so I created a road map. I mean who couldn't use a road map?! A road map to figure out your dreams and passions. And now I'd love to share it with you all!
If you are feeling unfulfilled in your life and you want to figure out your true dreams and passions then definitely take a look at the Dream & Passion Road Map I created. I'd love to hear your feedback and see what you are able to come up with. Just click on the link within this post and sign up to receive it and then follow the steps or road map and see where it leads you. For me this process has allowed me to create businesses around my dreams and passions that I love doing. It's kept me sane all these years and especially going through the challenges that I've gone through. I'm hoping it can do magical things in your life too!
